AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO ERIC CHARLES NICHOLS OF HANCOCK COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Eric Charles Nichols of Hancock County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of false pretense, burglary and uttering forgery, in Hancock and Harrison Counties, Mississippi, in 1980, and his conviction of transfer of a controlled substance in Hancock County, Mississippi, in 1993, and who has completed the penalty and any conditions imposed upon him for such conviction. The Legislature has been reliably informed that he is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
